Project Description
The ID3 Hunter is a simple application that uses the Last.FM and Gracenote music databases to automatically detect ID3 tags for MP3 files. It will also auto-detect for any of the supported formats if a MusicBrainz Track ID is assigned to the song. It also supports a manual ID3 tag entry for AAC, AIFF, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MP4, OGG, WAV and WMA files. The ID3 tags available for editing are artist, title, album, album artist, disc #, disc count, track #, track count, album artwork, release year and genre.

New in Version 1.4.1.0
  • New file formats supported! The list of supported file formats is: aac, aiff, flac, m4a, mp3, mp4, ogg, wav, wma.
  • Gracenote gets its time to shine in the specific case of auto-detecting on a non-MP3 file, that does not have a MusicBrainz ID associated with it.
  • Auto-detecting for all songs will now cycle through them so you can see the progress as it is happening and verify tag population.

New in Version 1.3.0.0
  • New ways to get/add the album artwork (see DOWNLOADS tab for more information)
  • Gracenote is more of a fore-runner now instead of only sitting on the back burner. It is also now more accurate and should get more songs in more situations.
